QBCC Managerial Course
Why study our course?
This managerial course meets the educational requirement to apply for your trade contractor’s licence and nominee supervisor licence, as regulated by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC).
‘In Queensland, individuals and companies must hold a QBCC licence to carry out building work:
- valued over $3,300
- valued over $1,100 where it involves Hydraulic Services Design
- of any value where it involves:
- Drainage
- Plumbing and Drainage
- Gas Fitting
- Termite Management – Chemical
- Fire Protection
- Completed Residential Building Inspection
- Building Design – Low Rise, Medium Rise and Open
- Site Classification
- Mechanical Services’1.
What will you learn with this course?
This course contains one unit of competency: BSBSMB401 – Establish Legal and Risk Management Requirements of Small Business, which can also be used as credit towards a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building).
The unit covers ‘the skills and knowledge required to identify and comply with all regulations affecting the business. It applies to individuals operating a small business who use analytical skills to interpret legislation and regulations and develop procedures to manage compliance’2.
The classes are live-streamed and delivered between 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm to ensure that all students can attend class and maintain a proper study and work balance.
Duration:
2 weeks. Live-streamed workshops 1 night a week plus self-study and assessment. All classes are after work hours (5-9 pm AEST).
Entry Requirements:
- Demonstrate a satisfactory level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) abilities.
- Must have a laptop or computer available.
